Ryz Labs is looking for a Technical Lead to join our client's small, fast-moving team. You will work as a hands‑on engineering leader responsible for driving technical execution in an AI‑forward startup environment. This role blends deep individual contribution with leadership, ownership, and decision‑making. With a small engineering team, the Technical Lead plays a critical role in shaping the product, defining technical direction, and building scalable systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary technical owner for core product architecture and implementation
- Write production‑ready code and remain deeply involved in day‑to‑day development
- Lead technical decision‑making with a focus on speed, scalability, and long‑term maintainability
- Collaborate closely with founders, product, and design to turn ideas into shipped features
- Mentor and support a small engineering team through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
- Establish lightweight but effective engineering processes suited for a startup environment
- Integrate and scale AI/ML capabilities within the product where they provide clear value
- Identify technical risks, manage trade‑offs, and make pragmatic decisions under uncertainty
- Own technical quality across the stack, including testing, performance, and reliability
- Strong experience as a senior full stack software engineer in a startup or fast‑paced environment
- Proven ability to lead technical projects while remaining hands‑on
- Experience designing and building systems from early‑stage to production
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, tools, or AI‑powered products
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and operate with minimal structure
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading by example
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a bias toward execution
- Clear communication skills and comfort working directly with non‑technical stakeholders
